BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Rates are in New Zealand Dollars and include 15% GST. These rates may be subject to change:
• Child age / rates: Child rates apply to children 5 – 15 years (inclusive).
• Scheduled tours do not incur a surcharge on public holidays
• Forward bookings are required to ensure availability
• Minimum numbers apply for a tour to proceed (please refer to each tour for what this is)
• Anyone under the age of 18 are not allowed on our scheduled tours that include winery tastings
• For scheduled tours including wineries, these are carefully selected for the guests’ enjoyment but may change due to circumstances beyond our control
Date changes to your booking are possible up to 48 hours prior to its scheduled commencement, and are subject to availability. Depending on tour or room availability and intended travel season, differences in tour options, room type or rates may apply as at the date of rebooking.
All transactions are in New Zealand dollars at the time of making a booking and at the time of making a cancellation, and Marlborough Tour Company Group cannot accept any liability for fluctuation in exchange rates between these transactions taking place.
During the October-April season, most scheduled tours operate daily, except Christmas Day (25 December), Easter Friday, Easter Sunday and ANZAC Day (25 April).
BOOKING CHANGES / CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations by Marlborough Tour Company –
If minimum numbers are not met for a tour, existing bookings will be offered an alternative date or an alternative (similar) product at the same cost. Alternatively, if there is not a suitable date or product the guest wishes to undertake, MTC will cancel this booking for no fee.
The team reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any services if it feels that they cannot be undertaken safely, i.e.: bad weather conditions, or if total bookings on the service is below minimum numbers. In the event of Marlborough Tour Company Group is making the cancellation guests will be offered an alternate date or option or receive a full refund.
Bookings can be changed or cancelled in accordance with the following:
1. FIT bookings (up to 9 pax) –
Changes or Cancellations on scheduled tours:
· Up to 48hrs prior to departure, bookings can be amended or cancelled with no penalty
· Less than 48hrs prior to departure, booking changes or cancellations will incur a fee of 100% for the service
Changes or Cancellations on private tours:
· Up to 72hrs prior to departure, bookings can be amended or cancelled with no penalty
· Less than 72hrs prior to departure, booking changes or cancellations will incur a fee of 100% for the service
2. Group bookings (10+ pax) -
Changes or Cancellations on scheduled tours:
· Up to 3 days prior to departure, bookings can be amended or cancelled with no penalty
· Less than 3 days prior to departure, booking changes or cancellations will incur a fee of 100% for the service
Changes on private tours:
· Up to 7 days prior to departure, bookings can be amended or cancelled with no penalty
· Less than 7 days prior to departure, booking changes or cancellations will incur a fee of 100% for the service
Check In
- We ask guests to check in to our cruises 30 minutes prior to departure.
- If you are being collected for a tour, we ask you to be ready 10 minutes before pick-up time.
Intoxication
For the safety of guests, staff and partners, Marlborough Tour Company - and its partners - reserves the right to:
- refuse to serve tour or cruise guests; and
- cancel tours or cruises,
due to intoxication and without a refund.
In circumstances where staff judge the level of intoxication to be such that it may be unsafe for the individual concerned to travel or for staff or other guests to travel with that person, the intoxicated guest may be refused entry to Marlborough Tour Company vehicles or fleet and asked to find their own return transport at their own cost.
Where property damage is sustained by Marlborough Tour Company or its partners, a spoilage fee may be charged.
Reservations
All Marlborough Tour Company services require forward booking to ensure availability.

Smoke-free
All Marlborough Tour Company vehicles and cruise vessels are smoke and vape free.
Water-based cruises
Forward bookings are essential to ensure availability of cruises. It is highly recommended to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Adverse weather conditions may restrict or cancel cruise departures or limit access into some areas for example salmon or mussel farms. Cruise availability and access onto some areas, due to weather and sea conditions, will be at the sole discretion of the skipper.
Flat soled footwear, sunglasses, sunhat and sunscreen is recommended.

Guest Wifi Usage
Fair Usage: The WiFi service is intended for general use, such as browsing the internet, checking emails, and accessing social media. Excessive data usage activities, such as large downloads/uploads, streaming services, and video conferencing, may be regulated to ensure fair bandwidth distribution.
Security: Users are responsible for the security of their device and data. The Hotel is not responsible for any loss of information or damage to your devices resulting from the use of our WiFi service.
Unlawful Use: Users must not use our WiFi service for any activities that violate local, state, national, or international laws and regulations.
Privacy: By using our WiFi service, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and use your data.
