Marlborough Tour Company is the largest and longest-running touring company in the top of New Zealand’s South Island.

Since 1993, we have offered authentic Marlborough experiences that showcase the very best of our beautiful region.

From the early days of Greenshell™ Mussel tours from Havelock, our diverse range of visitor offerings now include a wide selection of premium vineyard and Marlborough Sounds tours, luxury cruising, water transportation, and unique Marlborough Sounds accommodation.

With an extensive fleet of vehicles and vessels, Marlborough Tour Company’s team of experienced guides and crew prides itself on delivering truly authentic Marlborough hospitality.

As a family-owned, local company, we are renowned for our attention to detail, reputation for excellence, valuable local knowledge and friendly but professional approach.

Locally grown

Since its inception, Marlborough Tour Company has been owned by families born and bred in Marlborough. This long line of family connection to the region and a total commitment to quality service defines us as Marlborough’s premium tour company.

In 2018, Marlborough Tour Company added to its existing tours and cruises by acquiring two well-known Marlborough Sounds lodges, Furneaux Lodge and Punga Cove, which are both located on the world-famous Queen Charlotte Track.

This was followed by the purchase of Cougar Line, Picton’s long-time water transportation company that has had the important job of bringing people and delivering freight to all corners of Queen Charlotte Sound/Tōtaranui for nearly three decades.

And, most recently, the company purchased Pelorus Mail Boat operating out of Havelock. Offering one of the most unique cruises in the country, the Mail Boat has been operating in the Pelorus Sound/Te Hoiere since 1918.

Marlborough Tour Company’s expansion has led to a unique and varied selection of wine, scenic and seafood tours, accommodation and water transport options that are designed to make the most of all Marlborough has to offer to its growing visitor market.
