What’s available during the tour?

As part of the wine tour you enjoy a number of wine tastings, we then stop for a waterfront lunch (at your own cost) and as part of the seafood cruise we serve fresh local seafood with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

What should I bring along on the tour?

Bring a water bottle, your camera, a sunhat and sunscreen. It also pays to bring a light windbreaker jacket for during the Marlborough Sounds cruise. In the middle of summer you may wish to bring your swimsuit and a towel, as there may be an opportunity to have a swim during the cruise, while we are anchored. There may be occasional opportunities during the tour to stop for essential items, but we encourage you to bring everything you think you may require for the day.

Will I get carsick or seasick and should I take medication?

No, getting carsick or seasick is very unlikely. Our luxury touring vans have excellent visibility and are large and spacious with air-conditioning, and the Marlborough roads are generally smooth and straight. During the cruise, the Marlborough Sounds is a very sheltered waterway and doesn’t get ocean swells or waves. We generally have fairly flat sea conditions in the inner Sounds area that we cruise.  A strong wind can make things choppy but it’s uncommon to encounter rough sea conditions on this cruise. Our luxury launches are very large and stable.

What’s available onboard the cruise?

As part of the Marlborough Sounds seafood tour we serve fresh local seafood with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. There is also a licensed bar facility on board which has a good range of Marlborough wines, along with beers, juice, bottled water. You can also purchase a range of light food items including chips and peanuts, as well as hot tea and coffee. EPTPOS, Visa and Mastercard are able to be used onboard. The launch has a range of indoor and outdoor areas for your comfort and for viewing the beautiful scenery, including booth seats with tables and lounge areas.

Do you have group tours?

Yes, if you are travelling with a group and are interested in a group tour, please let us know. We have a range of vans and coaches, and can arrange this tour on a date that suits you. We operate a variety of Marlborough group cruises and tours, and South Island tours.
